HM Land Registry is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is not compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 (opens in new tab) AA standard, due to some of the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Some text, form controls and images do not have a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, which means they may be hard to read. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum).

Some error messages are not helpful. They do not give enough information on how to correct the error. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 3.3.3 Error Suggestion.

Some form elements have too many corresponding labels. This means assistive technology may not read them correctly or select the most helpful information. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value.

We plan to fix these errors by 31 December 2024.

Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

No content within Property Alert falls outside the scope of accessibility regulations.
